Painting a mural in Dimitrov

See some photos of kids and youth in action painting a mural in the neighborhood of Dimitrov where artists from the Batahola Norte Cultural Center go to teach painting, dance and theatre weekly as well as non-violence workshops once a month. The painting class is taking part in the mural project which is being painted on a wall outside a school. Dimitrov is known to be one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Managua and the hope is that through the arts and the workshops kids will find a space to express themselves as well as gain new skills and stay off the streets.
