my new home in Nica
I don't have time to write much, but wanted to throw a few photos on the blog from my new surroundings. You will see one of the walls in my bedroom in morning light, a scene from the church I'll be attending in my neighborhood, my host sister Norma cooking in the kitchen, a photo from the bus, and a photo of bright pink pitahaya juice at the breakfast table in my home, which is made from one of my favorite fruits, (esthetically speaking not necessarily taste speaking b/c it doesn't have much flavor) dragonfruit. My sister Evelin's 6 yr. old daughter Kristal is sitting across from me at the table.
There will be more photos of family and such to come!

Mel, your bedroom is so lovely! I love your pictures. I'd love to try that crazy fruit. It looks like a bug hatching an egg! Yum...
