my life in fall colors
what are you falling into these days? I think I'm falling into colors. Colors around me, colors that were once brilliant summer shades of green are now changing into warm autumn reds, oranges, and yellows. Crisp blue skies and orange marmelade sunsets make my autumn days alive and rejuvenating. I am thankful for the colors in life, the seasons that bring change and new things. For most of my life, fall has felt like a time for new things because it was always the start of a new school year. It meant new classes, sometimes new places, and new beginnings. This fall I'm feeling blessed by wonderful friends that have surrounded me and touched me with their colors, cheesy as it sounds. Romping in the leaves has always been a favorite fall activity of mine, and I've had the chance to do it with several special people this year, my sister, my friends Lori and Henry, and Dave. I even had the chance to do it at work while creating a short film (my first one ever on the professional level) about caring for creation at MCC. So as the colors fall around me, I will be glad and delight in them and remember that I am blessed to touch and see and feel the beauty that God created in the leaves, in the people, in the moments, that fall all around me. I've fallen in love with their colors.
