We are two weeks into the photo class. Here I'm sharing some of my favorite images from my students' first roll of film. I asked them to explore with the camera. We talked about looking for lines, shadows, reflections, and different perspectives and angles. I told them to look for things that were extraordinary.
Right now the most difficult thing is helping them to get past the novelty of having a camera in their hands and helping them to understand that the decisions the photographer makes about composition, lighting, angle, etc. communicates something about the subjects in the photograph. I hope to help them use their photography as a tool to communicate their thoughts and feelings about themselves, their families and their communities.
I am willing to bet that both Student and Teacher are having the times of their lives!!!
